Where are you going?
Do you ever stay up at night wondering what will happen after you die? Do you know the meaning of your life? Do you believe you will be judged? Have you been to churches and assemblies, but came out empty or confused? Let me gently ask you an important question: If you were to die right now, not in decades, not when you're ready, are you 100% sure that you're going to Heaven? If you're not absolutely sure, or even have the tiniest doubt, then you CAN be sure once you've met Jesus, the Saviour. Come, let me invite you to see what he has done for you.

Wait a minute, don't I have to be some kind of saint to go to Jesus? I'm just not good enough. I can't live like those Christians, and anyway most of them are hypocrites. Why should I listen to what you have to say?

Some Bad News and Good News
2. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Okay, so I lied, so does everyone else, why should I care?
2a. Bad News: There is a penalty (which is death), and you earned it, just like you earn your wages. And some of us worked really hard to earn these wages of sin. This is the second death. Gulp! You mean I earned all this? [check]
2b. Good News: but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. What a gift! And it is entirely free, you don't work for it, you don't promise God anything for it, you don't change your life for it, you don't pay for it. And it is eternal, everlasting, on and on and on. You can't lose it, you can't be dropped, and neither can you do anything in your power to keep it. Once you receive this gift from God it is yours FOREVER. Great, how do I receive this gift? [check]

How Do I Get this Gift?
3. Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Jesus said it himself: John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
So, will you take the Word of God and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ? Will you call on him and ask him to save you?
3a: If you are tongue-tied, pray this from your heart: Dear God, I know that I'm a sinner, and that I have done wrong. I believe Jesus Christ died on the cross, shed his blood, and rose again to pay for my sins and offer me the free gift of everlasting Life. I'm placing my full trust in Jesus Christ alone, and accept your gift for Jesus to save me. In Jesus' name, Amen [Note: it is your believing and asking that gets you saved, not these particular words, so say anything you like, this is only an example. The thief on the cross, the woman at the well, Nathanael, the centurion at the foot of the cross, Peter, Thomas, all said different things to Jesus that showed their belief and request for salvation.]

Did you pray and call on Jesus to save you? If so, you have just received the greatest gift ever offered to mankind, and you can declare 100% that you are going to Heaven. Congratulations! [did you check?]

Wow, I've Saved! Now What?
1. You Have Peace with God. Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2. You are Sealed by the Holy spirit. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
3. You have Hope. Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
4. You have a Great Commission. Mark 16:15 Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
5. You should be baptized as a first act of obedience. Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:

Did you have to work to get a gift? Do you have to work after getting a gift? If so, it wouldn't be much of a gift would it, if you had to promise something, exchange something, turn over a new leaf, repent of all your sins past present and future, or never sin again until you die, carry your Bible everywhere, go to every church work day, sing in the choir and cook every church bbq for the rest of your life. So don't worry about the hypocrites. God wants them to get a the free gift of salvation just like he wants you to come to him. Take what Jesus said: John 6:37 him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
